Last Friday, me and my team organized a Graduation Dinner to celebrate our seniors who are graduating this semester. I didn't joined the last year's one so I dont know what to expect. I just did my job, which is to make gift for them. Well, the gifts dont turned out as what I anticipated it to be. They look less interesting than what I imagined so it was a bit bummer.


I also couldn't help but feel a bit malu, so I hid from the crowd when they were giving the gifts to the seniors. Well basically, I thought of making something different than before because you know, get away from the typical. But because of lack of budget, it's hard to achieve. Ok so basically I wanted to do a survival kit for them since they are graduating. It's a survival kit to 'help' them in their future, whether they want to pursue higher education or to join the work force but in a funny way lah just for fun.


It has 6 items in the basket, and those are:

1. Air freshener: In case it stinks in your cubicle
2. Sponge: To soak all the knowledge
3. Post-it note: So you wont forget anything
4. Band-aid: In case you get a papercut and a short-term solution to a huge problem
5. Paper clips: So you can hold things together
6. Chocolate: For all the breaks you will need and to remind you that laughter is the best medicine.


Well, most of the people told me that it's a great idea and cute, but I just think that they just want to make me feel good. Haha! If you dont trust me, look how ugly they are! (ok ugly is a strong word). Look how unappealing they are!

Semalam aku pergi ke cultural event. This time it's Indonesian Cultural Night. I love any country's cultural night coz boleh experience and kenal culture lain dengan lebih mendalam. Selain tu boleh bersembang dengan kaum lain pasal negara diorang. Like semalam masa Indonesian cultural night punya booth, dia ada pamerkan mi goreng segera Indonesia. And dia cakap dekat Indonesia, dia panggil semua mi segera ni Indomie, berbeza dengan negara kita. Kita panggil semua brand Maggi. Haha! Aku macam dah takde topik lain dah cerita pasal maggi. Next week Korean punya cultural night pulak. Nak pergiiii....


Ini merupakan kali pertama Indonesian di Penn State organize cultural night ni, sedangkan Malaysian student dekat sini dah organize banyak kali, setiap tahun. So aku nak jugak tengok dorang punya first time macam mana. Permulaannya, lelaki yang jaga kaunter pendaftaran tu cute jugak. Haha! Then bila masuk dewan, ramai Malaysian ada dalam tu.

Overall boleh dikatakan semester ni agak fun sebab aku banyak involve dalam banyak benda and kawan-kawan pun bertambah ramai. So 2 minggu lepas aku pergi ke satu konsert. Konsert pertama aku dekat US, well sebelum ni aku pernah beli tiket konsert Greenday tapi cancel sebab Billie Joe masuk rehab... dammit. Kali ni aku pergi konsert Bon Jovi sempena tour dia untuk promote album baru. Dia datang university aku so dekat sangat dah tu.


To be honest, Im not really a fan of him. Aku datang sebab suka-suka sebab ada seat murah available and plus he's a legend? So nak merasa la pengalaman pergi konsert artis hebat-hebat ni. Bukan selalu dapat peluang.


Btw, persembahan memang hebat and energetic, stage and lighting memang gempak habis. Cuma sayangnya camera aku tak dapat capture the moment dengan elok sebab well u know, camera cokia beli kat Walmart je pun. Lulz. Cuma benda yang buat bosan sebab aku punya seat dekat belakang stage (that explains why it's cheap) so bila kekadang belakang stage ditutup dengan prop on certain songs, aku rasa terpinggir dan dipinggir. Tambah pulak makcik depan aku berdiri and mamat belakang aku duduk. So buat aku serba salah nak berdiri sebab nanti halang view mamat kat belakang pulak. So end up aku duduk je mengintai di celah ketiak makcik depan aku. Oh btw concert ni memang ramai gila orang yg lebih tua or should I say veteran? Sebab Bon Jovi bukanlah artis untuk generasi zaman 90an, so tak ramai college student yang ada. Banyak golongan ibu-ibu yang datang.


Masa pertengahan concert tu, aku makin stress dengan makcik depan aku and stage belakang ditutup. Dah la takde skrin tv untuk tengok muka dia. So aku start mengantuk. Serious rasa nak tidur sampai aku terfikir kawan aku ada letak ubat tidur ke apa dalam air aku. Haha! Kawan aku pulak duk seronok menari and nyanyi lagu-lagu yang aku tak tahu. Time tu I feel really bad for my mom, coz she's like the biggest fan and she memorizes all of his songs. As for me? Aku mengantuk dalam tu! It would really make her happy if she's in my seat at that time.

30 November ialah birthday aku! Sampai hati takde sorang follower wish pun.. Haha! Memang aku suka perasan artis, we all do. But it's ok coz birthday korang pun aku tak ingat bila. So 0-0 la. Birthday aku pada tahun ni jatuh pada hari Jumaat, which means partayyyy. For those of u who dont know, Friday in US means party and get drunk. But since Im a Muslim, i dont drink, so what do we do? Hurmm let's get to that in details.
